According to Dave, "We do everything we can to give our customers the best shopping experience possible. The average person that shops in a grocery store likes to make sure they are being charged the right price." Pioneer has a 17" LCD customer display at each of their three registers, which shows the customers the last few items that were scanned, along with the price charged for those items, on the top portion of the screen. The remaining two-thirds of the screen is used to display advertisements and specials in animated fashion. "Our customers have frequently commented very favorably to this. We get very few 'what is this on my receipt?' questions, as people see what is being charged as the item is rung up."
